Calibration
Recalibration is an excellent way to be sure that the
Detector Calibrator has not been damaged. If damage is found, the Calibrator can be repaired and restored to its
original accuracy. We can recertify the
factory calibration of the Calibrators in all Biddle PD Detectors [17000,
27000, & 37000] and 6617250 series Master Calibrators. HV Test Technology uses the same calibration
procedures as originally used by the Biddle factory before shipment of new P.D.
Detectors. We have equivalent
instruments to those used by the factory and keep those instruments recertified
on an annual basis with a Calibration Lab that uses NIST traceable
instruments. We are issued a
Certificate of Calibration with NIST Traceability for our instruments
annually. We supply a NIST traceable
Certificate with our recalibrations of client’s instruments.
In the course of recalibration, the calibrator rise-time is
checked. If it does not meet the
original Biddle spec, this is an indication of failing components. We can replace these components and restore
the calibrator signal rise-time to Biddle specs, or the more demanding IEC
60270 requirements.
