Repairs

HV Test Technology has a large stock of hard-to-find electronic components that permits fast repair of Biddle Partial Discharge [Corona} Detectors of all ages from 1976 to 2004, including Catalog Numbers 17000, 27000 and 37000, PD/RIV versions and 6617250 series Master Calibrators.  We have an expert troubleshooter with more than two decades of experience repairing Biddle Detectors.  No problem is too difficult for us. 

Detectors can easily be removed from a test system and shipped to HV Test Technology for repair.  However, there are times when a fault may occur in a section of the test system that is too large to be easily removed and shipped.  In these cases, HV Test Technology can provide schematics and technical support to the on-site technician who is doing the diagnostics and repair. Parts for system components outside of the Detector must be special ordered. Contact us for recommendations on how best to solve these problems. 

After many hours of use, the CRT of the scope display will deteriorate and burn out.  We have a stock of scope tubes for 17000 and 37000 series Biddle PD Detectors.  The CRT used in the 27000 series PD Detectors is no longer available from stock, but can be supplied on special order with a long lead-time.  As an alternative, we can modify 27000 PD Detectors for use with an external scope display.  All the Detector front panel scope controls remain active.  This more economic alternative can be provided with a shorter lead-time.
